Super Bowl Sunday Selection

Written by

Well, it’s Super Bowl Sunday and my Seattle Seahawks have finally made it to a Super Bowl. The press has been, not surprisingly, slanted to Pittsburgh. I would say the Steelers are receiving about 65-70% of the coverage on the NFL network and ESPN. So, here’s my pick and quick analysis for the big game.

I am going on record and picking the Seattle Seahawks. Depending on when you bet, the Seahawks are getting about 4 points (4.5 points in many places now). I won’t be surprised when the final score has the Seahawks winning by 10-14 points. While the Seahawks are my team, I am not basing my pick on this. If you look at the last game the Steelers won (Denver), the offense for Denver basically handed the game away. If not for this, it’s most likely Denver in the big game. On the other side, you look at Seattle’s Offense (#1 in the NFL). They appear to be unstoppable of late. The defense for both teams are playing well.

It should be a good Super Bowl this year. I look for the Seahawks to make fewer mistakes and feel that, because of all the media and stories, the pressure is really on the Steelers fully.

Well, so much for that. I can honestly say that this Super Bowl had the worst officiating of any football game I have ever watched in my lifetime.

    Good going NFL.
