NBA Formula Selection
We last left the NBA formula, discussed a few days ago, at 50%. Tonight we have another totals play in the NBA to try. This will potentially be the last attempt for this formula. If it loses, the formula will be finished. Tonight’s play takes us to Seattle for the game against the visiting Bucks.
According to the formula, the final total should be 202 points with the final score being Milwaukee 102 Seattle 100. I looked over this game and the under looks to be the play. In the previous 10 head to head meetings, the two teams have only combined for 210 points once. Tonights line was at 212 for early bird bettors and is currently at 210. Most of the trips to Seattle resulted in the Bucks scoring in the 80s.
The play tonight is UNDER 210 in the Bucks/Sonics game. I am looking for the game to be somewhat close and a final score around 205. I think the Bucks can hold the Sonics to under 100 points, which would mean the Bucks need to score at least 110 to send the game over. It’s an averages play. Let’s see how it turns out.
PLAY: Bucks/Sonics UNDER 210

At the end of the 3rd quarter it’s the Sonics 83 and the bucks 75 (158 total points). If the fourth quarter ends with 51 or less points, the NBA pick wins. 52 points is a tie and 53+ is a loss. The Sonics look to be handling the Bucks and the chance for an overtime look slim. The 3rd quarter scoring was down from the first two, with the Bucks slowing down.
It’s going to be a close one. There’s been 3 points scored in the first 1.5 minutes of play. If the scoring remains this slow, it’s a done deal.

Well, so much for that. Big 4th quarter–especially at end, send the total over by a few.
