NBA Eastern Conference Looking Lackluster
We are just a few weeks into the 2006-07 NBA season, and already the East is looking like garbage. I decided to take a look at how’s playing hot right now and who’s cold.
To me, any team that’s won 6 or more wins over their last 10 games is hot. Anyone who’s 5-5 is medium and any team that’s 4-6 or worse is cold. Here’s were we stand now.
The East only has 3 hot teams—Cleveland Cavaliers, Detroit Pistons and Orlando Magic.
They have 10, yes 10, cold teams. The two teams at 5-5 are the Boston Celtics and the Indiana Pacers. All teams in the East not mentioned are playing like garbage.
In contrast, the West has 9 hot teams, 5 cold teams and one in the middle.
Will we have a repeat of last season? The West looked best then, but a team from the East in Miami stole the show.
The worst team in the NBA right now is the Knicks. They are 5-11. Memphis is only 4-10, but they are .500 at home. The Knicks are 1-6 at home. They are 4-5 on the road.
The Atlantic Division is a joke. The entire division has 5 wins (from 5-8 to 5-11). It’s the worst division by far in the entire league.
The East is so bad, we’ll probably see a team with close to a .400 winning percentage in the playoffs. It’s still early, and we can only hope that these teams get into gear.

[…] Last season the West looked much better, but the East stole the show when the Miami Heat took the crown. We could see a rematch from last season. Jason A.
