Red Rock Casino

There’s a new casino in Las Vegas—the Red Rock Casino. The Red Rock casino was built for locals, but you sure wouldn’t know it by looking through the place. The estimated building cost for the casino is $930 million. I was lucky enough to have a walkthrough before the casino was opened to the public. The race and sports book at the Red Rock Casino is beautiful. There’s a nice new LCD TV at each and every seat. The TV’s are touch screens and you can place bets right from your seat. The Red Rock casino opened on Tuesday to a very impressive fireworks display around 10pm.

The buffet at the Red Rock is very nice. They have Asian, International, BBQ, American and a tasty desert area. The prime rib was very good. If you go to the buffet, make sure you enjoy some Gelato for desert. They have many places to eat at the Red Rock casino, including a high-class steak house. If you want a quick bite to eat, there’s Fat Burger, Panda Express and other quick eateries—including a Ben and Jerry’s. The Red Rock casino also has a poker room. There is finally a poker room in Summerlin and as expected, it was packed. I can’t wait to sit down. It’s a respectable room—nothing too fancy.

The Red Rock casino is a beautiful place and every dollar was well spent. Speaking of spending money. If you visit the Red Rock casino, make sure you visit the Keno area and sit in their chairs. Each one of those chairs cost $2,500. They are very comfortable. The action is already hot at the Red Rock and many are reporting good times and great winning. The Red Rock casino has raised the bar for a local’s casino and it’s a pinnacle fixture in Las Vegas. If you come in from out of town and want to see the Red Rock casino, it’s easy to do. The Red Rock casino is located right of the I-215 freeway, so it’s a snap to visit.
