Four and Ten Craps System
There’s nothing I like more than a great craps game in a lively Las Vegas casino. Having been a former craps dealer in Las Vegas and a professional gambler, I have seen my fair share of craps action. For me gambling life started in downtown Las Vegas. If you hang around enough craps tables down there, you will always see someone with a pad of paper and a writing instrument marking down rolls of the dice. There’s no short supply of system players in the game of craps.
Today I will share with you a simple system that I like to call the 4 and 10 Craps system. I’m not going to sit here and tell you that this is some sort of get rich quick system for playing craps that’ll have you living the good life in no time. It’s simply a system that I came up with during my younger days of playing craps that provided a good deal of fun for me. Is it the smartest thing in the world to do? Probably not. However, when I score with it, I have to do my “winner winner chicken dinner” dance.
This is a system that I use while I am playing craps. I hesitate to use the word system, because it’s really a strategy. While playing craps, I take notice of how long it’s been since the 4 or 10 has been rolled. Once I see that either one has not come up for a while and we are on the come out roll, I place a $10 wager on it. We are now in business.
When your bet on the 4 or 10 hits, press it up to $25. For those that didn’t know, the 4 and 10 basically pay two to one when bought—less a small vig. When your bet hits again, you need to decide if you’re going for the big one or smaller payments. If you’re going for smaller payments, flip the dealer a dollar and take your $50 payout. From here out you’ll make $50 every time your bet hits.
If you elected for the big score, press your bet to $75. When it hits again, press it to $150. Finally, when it hits for the fourth time take down your $450 and let out a hearty laugh. All you need is four hits on the same number to take $10 and turn it into $450. Does it happen? Of course it does. I’ve even taken it one step further. If you’re looking to cut down the number of times your number must be rolled from four to three, simply start with a $25 bet instead of a $10 bet.
You can also start with a $5 bet, but you’ll need your number to be rolled five times instead of four. I’ve done this as well, but it happens less often. So how long should you wait before betting the 4 or 10? That’s really up to you. I’ve also played this strategy without waiting for long periods of time between rolls. Every point I simply put out a bet on the 4 and 10. It takes more money to do it this way, and you should have a large enough bankroll the last a while. If you decide to give this strategy is shot, let others know how you did by posting your comments below.
